Documentary - Metal From Hellas

 Metal From Hellas is a film made by Nick Papakostas and Panagiotis Simopoulos as a project they had for the Technological Institute of Music Technology & Acoustics. It's the history of Greek Heavy Metal from the 80s to today. English subtitles made and embeded by me to be easier to watch by metalheads who don't speak Greek. Many thanx to Nick for the permission to upload it. I hope you enjoy it, despite my shitty English. Heavy metal re mounia!

Συνέντευξη Wings in Motion

Λίγα λόγια για την πορεία του συγκροτήματος ως τώρα;

Σχεδόν ένα μήνα μετά γυρίσαμε και το πρώτο βίντεοκλιπ μας για ένα από τα κομμάτια του Promo, το "Through The Shadows". Στο διάστημα αυτό των τριών χρόνων έχουμε πραγματοποιήσει αρκετές live εμφανίσεις σε γνωστούς συναυλιακούς χώρους της Αθήνας. Σπουδαιότερο live μέχρι στιγμής ήταν η εμφάνιση μας στο φετινό Schoolwave ως guests πριν ακριβώς απο τους headliners ενώ τον Ιούνιο κερδίσαμε το Battle of the Bands για το 2011.

Interview with Morgan Håkansson of Marduk in Cleveland, OH, 6-2-11. Note: due to technical difficulties with the video camera the first 5 minutes of the interview did not record. I noticed the issue with the camera and turned it on again, and this is why I'm a bit flustered during the interview. A huge thanks to Morgan for the interview and for being so patient with me.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD: We Urged MIKE PORTNOY Against Quitting DREAM THEATER

AVENGED SEVENFOLD

guitarists  Zacky Vengeance and  Synyster Gates were interviewed  for the September 2011 issue of Guitar Worldmagazine .

A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

Guitar World: Do you believe it was Mike's [Portnoy, ex-DREAM THEATER drummer who played on AVENGED SEVENFOLD's 2010 album"Nightmare" and toured with the band for the latter part of last year] intention to stay on with [AVENGED SEVENFOLD]?

Gates: I think he definitely wanted to. And it would have been really nice. He's a great guy and a great drummer, and we consider him family. But it's just… He's "Mike Portnoy." He's established. He makes a lot of money. More than we can really dish out, especially at this point. And my whole thing after Jimmy ["The Rev" Sullivan, AVENGED SEVENFOLD's late drummer] died was if we were ever going to do this, I wanted to give a young kid a chance. That would have been a dream come true, to breathe some new life from a death. And so this feels right. And unfortunately,Mike made some decisions that I don't know if he's super happy with at this point, and that weren't very conducive to his well being.
